Disney Cruise Line Unveils the First Disney Attraction At Sea Aboard The Disney Wish Cruise Ship
April 29, 2021 Today Disney Cruise Line announced their new cruise ship, The Disney Wish, will set sail beginning in June 2022 out of Port Canaveral. First Disney Ride at Sea It was announced that the first Disney attraction at sea would be onboard the Disney Wish – The AquaMouse! This new aquatic attraction will feature immersive elements embedded within a brand new Mickey and Minnie Mouse short – Scuba Scramble! I love the new animation style (looks like it will be similar to the adventures in Mickey Mouse Shorts), and I’m so excited to see this new aqua coaster in action. From the video it looks like one of…

Review of Topolino’s Terrace at Disney World Resort
This month my family and I went to the new Riviera Resort at Walt Disney World to have dinner at Topolino’s Terrace. This is the new fine dining restaurant at Disney’s Riviera Resort. We made reservations ahead of time and were able to get a table for 4 on a Saturday night. We spent some time at Disney Springs before our reservation, then we drove from there over to Riviera. You can park at the resort for free around your reservation time, just be prepared to show your proof of reservation to the parking attendant. I thought that the Riviera Resort was very beautifully themed. While not as character-forward as…

5 Night Halloween on The High Seas Cruise on the Disney Magic – Halloween Day at Sea and Mixology Class
One of the best feelings on a cruise, in my opinion, is waking up to a beautiful day at sea. I woke up pretty early after a very restful night’s sleep and made my way to Cabana’s for a light breakfast and most importantly…coffee! Hot take about the coffee on Disney Cruise Line: It isn’t the best. I am a coffee-haulic and have found through trial and error that the cruise coffee ranks as follows: Coffee from Cove Cafe – I know, it’s an extra cost, but sometimes it’s required when you are 5 days into a cruise and you just need real espresso! Coffee from Palo – Again it…

5 Night Halloween on The High Seas Cruise on the Disney Magic – Embarkation in NYC
Hi friends! Welcome to my trip recap for the 5 Night Halloween on The High Seas Cruise on the Disney Magic. This sailing departed on Monday September 30th 2019 out of New York City and stopped in Bar Harbor, Maine and Saint John, New Brunswick. This was my first time embarking at the cruise terminal in New York City, so I want to share my experience with you. My parents, sisters, husband, and I drove down to New York City from Massachusetts on Monday morning to get to Pier 88 for our boarding. My dad rented a van and all 6 of us piled in for the four hour drive…

8 Night Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise – Day 5 Nice, Monaco, and Monte Carlo
CLICK HERE to start at the beginning of the cruise. Greeted by sunshine and an absolutely stunning vista, we awoke to Day 5 of our cruise at the port of Villefranche-sur-Mer! This port was one we were really excited to visit! We booked the Value Package – Nice and Monaco – Adult Only Departure (V35) and here is the description from the Disney website: Take a 30-minute scenic tour along the Lower Corniche from Villefranche to Nice. Stop in charming Old Nice for a guided stroll lasting about an hour on the Cours Saleya toward the colorful flower and fruit market (substituted for an Antiques Market on Mondays). Those wishing…

8 Night Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise – Day 4 Cinque Terre and Palo Dinner
After an incredibly relaxing day at sea, we were ready for more adventures ashore! We made port in beautiful La Spezia, Italy on Day 4 of our cruise. We had some light breakfast at Cabanas before heading off the ship for the day. We did not book an excursion for this port. I did look through the port adventures offered on the Disney website, but almost all involved very long drives to Florence or Pisa. We decided stay more local and to strike out on our own in La Spezia! After researching a TON ahead of time, I came up with a rough itinerary for our port day. We were…

How to Navigate using Google Maps Without Data or Internet
I would categorize myself as a wanderer. When I travel, I like to pick a direction and take off! This is highly conducive to me getting lost, especially in countries where cellular service and wireless internet can be hard to find. My solution? Google Maps! “But wait, don’t you need an internet connection to load Maps?” I used to think so! Then Justin clued me in about a feature of Google Maps that allows you to navigate your destination without internet or cellular. This was a total game changer for our trips, and I can’t wait to share how easy it is to do! Here are the steps to download…

8 Night Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise – Day 3 At Sea and a Special Palo Brunch
We woke up to some beautiful sunshine on our first day at sea! It was so easy to hop out of bed because we were excited to get to the activities for the day. The next day’s Navigator gets dropped off the night before so everyone has a chance to see what is planned and schedule their day accordingly! Our first stop was the D Lounge for a special event called “Anyone Can Cook”! Based on the book by Chef Gusteau in Ratatouille, this activity featured a live cooking demonstration by one of the Disney chefs and most importantly…a tasting! The recipe was sea bass with a white wine pea…

8 Night Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise – Day 2 Pompeii and The Amalfi Coast
We woke up on the 2nd day of the cruise to a slightly overcast sky as the ship glided past towering cliffs topped with lush greenery. Our first glimpse of the Amalfi Coast! We got ready for the day and made our way up to Cabanas for breakfast just as the Magic got into the port of Salerno at 7 AM. For Salerno (and one other port on this cruise) we booked a full day excursion through Disney Cruise Line. One of the benefits of booking an excursion through Disney instead of a third party company is that if there is any delay on your Disney excursion, the ship won’t…

8 Night Disney Magic Mediterranean Cruise – Day 1 Embarkation
It’s embarkation day! We woke up nice and early to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel (and chatted with some nice Texans who had just gotten off their own cruise!), then we checked out and headed to the Rome Termini station. From there, we boarded the train to Civitavecchia which is where the cruise terminal is located. Disney offers transfers to the cruise terminal from the airport, but since we were already in the city we decided to just take the train. It was about a 45 minute ride, but definitely make sure you give yourself lots of time to get to Termini if you also decide to take…
